(Some) Solace for the Teenager

with crooked teeth.
It's that time of month again.. (No! Not a "girl thing!")
Ah, it was time for that monthly orthodontist check-up. Thanks to my wonderful doctor, I have enough metal in my mouth to set off metal detectors and possibly do some serious damage if I were ever in a cat fight. Today, I got a new heavy wire and am about to brave through "weeks of super tight serious pain" according to Dr. Morrill. Thanks a lot doc.
Farewell fries, and cake, and pizza and every yummy thing in the cafeteria/Mr. Daren's room! I'll miss you a lot, see you in April!
Anyway, after being restrained in the chair under bright surgical lights for about half an hour, I came to realize that there was no escaping the "serious pain." I immediately began to plan to go to Safeway to buy food that did not require liquidizing. Here are some delicious (#1 important) foods that are both (somewhat) healthy and low budget.

#1 Strawberry & Orange Jell-O gelatin snacks and Jell-O Chocolate Vanilla Swirls pudding

6 cups per set
Priced at: $4.89 (I paid $3.50 w/ a Safeway card)
Yummy chocolate and vanilla taste and a fruity snack
(Note: never get the sugar-free jello, it doesn't taste like anything and is definitely not worth purchasing)
#2: Del Monte bananas
6 per bunch
Priced at: $2.45 w/ a Safeway card
Filled with nutritious potassium, fiber and Vitamin C
#3: "Simply Apple" apple juice
1.75 L per bottle
Priced at: $3.99 w/ a Safeway card
A disgustingly murky color but a refreshingly natural taste
#4: "Ro-gurt:" Scooby-Doo themed Go-gurt
8 tubes per box
Priced at: $2.50 w/ a Safeway card
With scrumptious flavors: "'Rawberry" & "Shaggy's Cool Punch"Good yogurt that comes with childhood memories and Scooby-Doo jokes
These snacks are tender to your teeth and yummy to your tongue and fill your stomach. There's hope after all!

Currently Craving: SOLID food
